The thermodynamic properties of gold have been evaluated to K. Selected values include an enthalpy of sublimation of ± kJmol−1 for the monatomic gas at K, a dissociation enthalpy D0 of ± kJmol−1 for the diatomic gas species at absolute zero and a derived equilibrium boiling point of K at one atmosphere pressure.
